Amazingly we spotted our name on the Downforce Radio Special Awards!!
Dawn has been named as "Marshal of the Year 2019" !!!
thank you to the Downforce Radio Team, much appreciated and most unexpected!
The Marshal's Car will be on the BMMC UK stand in Hall 2 - come say hello on Sunday
We’d just like to wish everyone a very Happi Crimbo and a successful new year.
Your support and enthusiasm for the B42’s team has been overwhelming and quite frankly unbelievable and we hope everyone that took part enjoyed the year. We’re very pleased to say that we will be doing it all again in 2020! As we already have the new “Pride Burst” stickers for the new prize draws on sale and we hope to organise more prizes and goodies to give away.
We start our 2020 by showing the car at Autosport on the @BMMCUK recruitment stand, the car will be gleaming throughout the show and some of the team should make an appearance at some point on the Sunday if you want to come say hello.
We look forward to the season opener at Oulton Park with the Teekay Production GTi Championship on 28th March.
So to all our supporters, Marhals, team groupies, helpers, racers, track clubs and organisers, everyone we say thank you, and we’ll see you in the next decade!! :)

Wow! What a year, what a great finale weekend! It's been a steep learning curve for team B42's Motorsport. Building a new car in 3 months in our spare time, overcoming several obstacles, great teamwork, awesome team Manager 😎 and of course awesome No1 driver, and the no.2 driver didn't disgrace himself either! 😊 we completed our first year in the Teekay Production GTi Championship.
Brands Hatch was the scene for the finale of the Championship, and after missing Donington Park Dawn had some points to make up. Not usually very confident in the rain, Dawn qualified 6th (5th before the red flag restart) in the pouring rain, and then raced to 5th in changing wet/rain/drying/slippy conditions, the best result of the year, hanging onto the car in all variations of slides, and then topped it off with a another superb race on another wet slippery track holding off 3 challengers coming home 6th!
Huge thanks to BMMC Clubracing FrontlineDevelopments JABBA KenningtonMotors Corbeau RaceParts Miltek CustomCages and to Storck Xcite Hawkers Miltek Tao PMR Orbital TeamHard Thruxton Scrapyard SEWorkwear for all the goodies for Marshals. Apologies if I've forgotten anyone, its been a blast. Thankyou
Thankyou of course to my ever supportive Mumsie, Andrew, Jamie, Will and Ross - well done Team B42's Motorsport 🚗🏁👍
Unfortunately I couldn't race at Donington on medical grounds.. I woke up Saturday with pain in my leg... limping. it got worse... went to the medic at Donington Park who promptly sent me to A&E at Derby hospital!!! My thanks to Andy who helped me all day, as well as getting the car set up ready to race just in case!
I spent the rest of the day there being checked for a blood clot.. it was positive.. not good for racing, so Sunday morning we called in the Teams #2 driver...!! Andy's son Jamie Butcher.. who I used to race alongside in the Mark2 golfs 10 years ago... he hadn't raced in those 10 years, but was still up for it.. we put him in the seat after a lot of running around by Robert Sadler the organiser to get permission and Jamie went out for a test run, but above all, to enjoy himself, with instructions not to get in the way of any championship battles but to have fun and test the car... so he was at the back but having some fun none the less. I've been off work for 2 weeks recovering and hated it that I couldn't race but I will be back for Brands Hatch, with less of a limp!
B42's Motorsport head North again soon for the next round of the Teekay Couplings Production GTi Championship. We're up to Donington Park - hope to see you there
If you're marshalling - come and see us at Sign On for your free goodies, and a hot drink at our paddock garage

The B42's Golf was on display all weekend as Dawn assisted with the Marshal Recruitment stand.
We had some great comments about the car and enrolled a few marshals to join the orange army.
The boys were over in the F1 paddock running a beautiful Cortina
When I got some spare time I tried my hand at team photography! :)
